Ice cream trays were a great way of getting customers to try a new brand of ice cream, and hopefully make it their favorite! This tray advertises Velvet Ice Cream, produced by the Bridgeman-Russel Company. With a great picture of a sundae and a plate of Neapolitan ice cream, who could refuse? Marked 1925 in the lower left corner with “The American Art Works, Inc. Coshocton, D. 151” this tray has definitely seen some use in the ice cream parlor. Multiple chips with paint loss around the outside lip with some chips on the face of the tray. Some of the chips have been loving touched up. Some small rust spots can be seen up on the face. A few scratches on the face do not detract from the gloss finish. A neat older tray that will look great in your collection. 18182-QEO
