Waterman’s Fountain Pen company wanted their fountain pens to stand out amongst the other items in a typical general store setting. They realized early on that providing the store owner a special countertop display case, their amazing pens would be separate from the other run of the mill pens. The showcases came in different sizes depending on how much counter space the general store had available and how many pens they sold. This Waterman’s showcase has a nice raised floor inside the case to be able to elevate their fountain pens. The lettering on the raised display is in gold with a thin black outline with a globe behind the letters that has a 3D effect. The case itself is oak trimmed with a mirrored hinged back door. The mirror is original has it has some spots due to this age. The raised base doubles as a storage drawer that holds fresh pens that are on display inside the case.
