Due to many general stores not having mirrors, Robinson Straus & Co utilized this large hand mirror so customers could see themselves while trying on their hats. One side features a beveled edge mirror, and the other side is an advertisement for the company. It reads “See That The Hat You Buy Bears This” with the companies logo, along with “Monogram Hats”, and “Saint Paul Robinson Straus & Co” below. Loss of silver can be seen on the mirror in a few places, with the wood back showing light use. The handle is stamped “Made In Germany”. Great piece for a hat collector! 20308-TWP
