To protect delicate paper stamps from damage and humidity, postage stamp holders were used, such as this 1902 Coca-Cola celluloid holder. The outer cover was celluloid, which allowed advertisers to print on it with ease, and inside was wax paper to protect postage stamps. The front cover reads “Compliments of The Coca-Cola Co.” with one of the many models enjoying a glass of Coca-Cola. The back cover shows a pyramid with the number of gallons produced in 1901, an astounding 465,411! The covers are slightly worn with age, and the grommet is missing in the upper left corner. The papers inside are also missing. It measures 2 3/8 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide. Very fragile, but a rare item that you will love! 21615-WPP
