A prototype display box that was never adopted for use, this rare new old stock cardboard display, ink stamped “Sep. 2, 1936” on the bottom, was designed to hold rolls of “Beech-Nut Black Cough Drops.” The back panel folds up to create a back drop decorated with the Beech-Nut logo and inscribed “Instant Relief For Only 5c.” Never unfolded, the display measures 9 3/8 inches tall by 7 1/4 inches wide and is in near mint condition. This came directly out of the Beechnut Archives Book which we purchased many years ago. Never produced, guess they did not like the package. It has been shrink wrapped for protection. 1355-RT
