When Bubble-Up was started in 1919, it began as a grape juice until 1938 when Whistle-Vess Beverage Company purchased the registration and introduced it as a lemon-lime soda. “A kiss of lemon a kiss of lime” was trademarked in 1959, which dates this sign from 1959 to the 1960’s. The word “Drink” and “Bubble Up” are embossed on this colorful self framed single sided sign. It is marked “3491-M” in the lower left corner, and “Press Sign Co. – St. Louis” in the lower right corner. Some minor chipping on the outer corners of the sign from being used over the years. A slight discoloration in the green background just above the bubbles is in the finish itself, so must have been a production error. A few scratches on the face itself are tiny and can be seen up close. Great sign from a lesser known soda company. 18686-RUP
