Making engines last 100,000 miles was no small feat in the 1930s, as they usually needed internal work around 40,000 miles. Atlantic White Flash Motor Oil tested their product and touted it on this heavy paper banner that hung in their service stations. It measures 29 inches tall by 61 inches wide, with brass grommets on the outer corners. This banner shows three men in top hats around a car, with cartoon bubbles above their heads indicating they are speaking. The white background has turned yellow over the years, but it still shows nice colors for the age of this piece. From storage, the banner has wrinkles on the left side and along the top and bottom edges. A small hole is in the banner as well, near the Motor Oil hat. This banner was produced by Tuff-Tite, as marked in the lower right corner. 17822-EYP
