Unless you have school aged kids, you don’t know when school busses start their daily duties of transporting children from their home to school and back home safely. Coca Cola wanted to remind everyone to “Yield to the Children” in this public safety advertising campaign by producing these large signs that were fastened to the rear of the Coke delivery trucks. The signs were made of cardboard, and when exposed to the elements did not last very long. This one was never installed, but framed to display in the bottling plant as their own public service announcement. It features the yellow yield sign with school age children, and a small Coca Cola logo just below the triangle sign. “Let’s Drive Safely…For Them” wraps up the sign in the lower right corner. This sign is not dated, but looking at the children’s clothing, we are dating it during the late 1960’s. This item is larger than UPS will allow.
