Made of poplar and pine and dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, this country store counter is the perfect base for a large display case. Currently open in back, it still has the openings at the top for 3 drawers and there is a floor so it may have had doors also. The front and sides are simply decorated with a single recessed panel, surrounded with raised moldings. The counter top is tongue and groove pine and there is a gap on the edges between the counter top and top edge quarter moldings, leading me to believe that the counter was originally intended to be a base for a showcase. The counter measures 32 1/2 inches tall by 72 inches wide by 33 1/2 inches deep and is in excellent condition with a newer finish and a patina of scratches and wear on the surfaces and corners from years of use. THIS IS NOT A STANDARD SHIPPABLE ITEM. IT WILL REQUIRE A THIRD PART SHIPPER.
