The top reads, “Don’t Forget Handy Dan’s Ice,” with a 120-degree thermometer in the middle and a cartoon polar bear carrying a block of ice below. It is made of aluminum, and the glass mercury tube is housed in a wooden frame. A tiny chip in the finish is just below the thermometer, along with some small chips around the top mounting hole.
