This early 20th century tin originally held a 1/4 oz. free sample of Droste’s Cocoa, manufactured in Harlem, Holland. On the front and back it has colorful images of a Dutch couple, in traditional dress, sitting on a bench enjoying cups of hot cocoa. On one side is a coat of arms and the inscription “Droste’s Cocoa is manufactured by a special process which increases the mineral constituents about 3 percent.” The other side shows all of the medals and awards that the product has won. It is marked “Free Sample on the side and is in excellent condition with minor edge wear. It measures 1 7/8″ tall by 1” square. 14190-ET
