This cool ice cream cardboard display would be right at home at any ice cream parlor or soda fountain in the 1920’s or 1930’s. Hendlers and used artwork by Rose O’Neill for this advertising and her Kewpie doll as part of their ad, it was always recognizable. In the center of the sign, you can see one hand holding a paper box of Hendlers Ice Cream “The Velvet Kind”, while another hand is dipping a spoonful of what looks to be strawberry ice cream to serve. The display is die cut and has been framed to enjoy for many years.
