Horse Carriage and Black Boy Cardboard Sign

This neat embossed die-cut cardboard sign dates from the early 20th century and has a cute image of two teary-eyed ladies waving goodbye in a one-horse cart being led by a black sharecropper. The trunk strapped to the back of the cart is inscribed “Loving Greetings,” and across the bottom the sign is inscribed “Parting is such sweet sorrow, We may try it again to-morrow !” The sign measures about 7 inches tall by 6 1/4 inches wide and is in excellent condition with a 1 1/4 inch crease in the lower left corner.
