If you think you have seen this tray before, you probably have. Many local ice cream suppliers used the same image on this style tray for different brands of ice cream. Most just had the companies name over the center image, but this one went a step further and added the dairy company name and the location. This tray is from Liberty Ice Cream, “The Cream Supreme”, and the ice cream came specifically from Capital Dairy Co., Inc. in Sacramento, California. This tray was definitely used in an ice cream parlor or soda fountain. The center section background has been lovingly repainted, as has the top of the tray. A little paint has run or drip marks on the top edge. Some small dents at the top of the tray along with chips on the lip. The back of the tray has been repainted during it’s life span also. It is displayable and an early example of this tray. 18185-QEO
