This wooden color chart dates from the 1920s and features eight colors of Kyanize enamel paint for customers. The top reads “Motor Car Enamels” and the bottom tells customers it is for “Automobiles, Carriages, Canoes, Store-Fronts, Lawn-Furniture”. In the middle are eight round wooden dowels painted with the available colors. The wear is typical on this piece’s outer edges, for it is a century old. Over the years, the paint color dowels have succumbed to age, the colors have faded, and the enamel paint has cracked. A sliver of wood is missing above the green, yellow, and blue dowels, allowing them to move and allowing you to see the top of the dowel and the hole it is in.
