Manufactured by the Belknap Hardware & Manufacturing Company in Louisville, KY., in the late 1910s or early 1920s, this scrub board has a brass scrubbing surface and a wooden frame. The top panel is decorated on both sides with an image of a southern mansion with the inscription “Old Gold Kentucky Home.” The scrub board measures 24 inches tall by 12 1/4 inches wide and is in excellent condition with a nice patina of wear and staining from use. The image and inscription have faded on one side but are still sharp on the other. A screw eye has been attached to the top for hanging. 1296-81QPP
