Check out this rare tin tacker embossed sign from The Donaldson Art Sign Co, which advertises 5-cent chocolate cocoanut Mounds candy! Peter Paul introduced Mounds candy in 1921, which had chocolate on the outside and coconut on the inside. This sign dates from the late 1920s to the very early 1930s, as candy packaging changed from the graphic on the sign in the mid-1930s. This sign measures 6.75 inches tall by 19.5 inches long and features embossed “Mounds” letters and an embossed candy graphic. Minor wear along the top edge, with some wear on the “Mounds” embossed letters. Small eyebrow dents are in the thin tin just below the red letters on each side of the candy graphic. The colors on this sign are sharp, as is the gloss. The finish has some marks on it from paper residue over the years. We have added a nice frame to make it easy to hang in your collection. 21541-ERP
