When full-service gas stations were regular, they had a small garage in the back where minor repairs were completed, allowing travelers to reach their destination. Tires were a big seller at full-service gas stations because people had flat tires when traveling. Pure Oil Company sold their brand of tires, and this metal tire stand with an original Pure Butyl tire would sit out front of the gas station to advertise they sold and installed tires. This metal tire display stand reads “Pure” on each side. Each side has some scratches and marks but displays nicely. The Pure Butyl Cushion tire is a 6.70 – 15-inch Nylon white wall tire.
