Extremely rare piece of Americana from the 1930’s, this wooden framed advertising board greeted thousands of passengers at train stations along the southwest. It consists of five different advertisements that include : Fred Harvey Hotels, Horlick’s Malted Milk, Pecan Feast candy bar, Jests antacid, and Beech-Nut Charcoal Gum. Each panel measures twenty inches wide by ten and a half inches tall with each advertisement printed on heavy paper behind the original pane glass that slides to the right to change the ad with ease. The frame is made of oak wood and has a mounting hole on each side. On the back is a decal at the top with the Santa Fe logo, station name written in pencil, along with “Fred Harvey Management, Union Station, Kansas City, Mo.” below.
