Dating from the 1930s, this brass embossed ashtray comes to us from the Chicago Worlds Fair that ran from 1933 to 1934. The embossed letters read “Who Serves Progress Serves America” with the front end of a GM car. It is stamped “General Motors” below the vehicle. Great detail, as you can see the tire treads, along with the grill vents and headlights! The back is marked “Ternstedt Div.” Some light oxidation can be seen on the face, along with some very light wear inside the ashtray. It measures four inches top to bottom and four inches side to side. 20577-II
