Regularly seen in cigar shops, this multifunction tool was used to open flat-top wooden cigar boxes. The rounded knife is used to break the box seal and crack open the box. The slit in the rounded blade can be used to pry out a nail that sealed the box, then the hammer portion can be used to pound the nail back into the box, resealing it until you needed to open the box again. Properly sealing the box kept the cigars fresh and ready for resale.
