In the 1920s, houses were smaller, so thermometers had to be small as well! This six-inch round thermometer features an advertisement for Wool Soap. Wool Soap was used to wash woolens and fine fabrics at home. The graphic in the center shows a Wool Soap package, with the temperature reading above and “Toilet Bath” below. The glass cover is clear and shows no damage, as does the metal housing. The reverse side features three metal legs that allow it to rest against the wall. A small ding is on the lower edge of the back as well. The temperature seems to be about 5-7 degrees warmer than the actual temperature, but it works as it should. 21556-QRP
