Agriculture and farming advertising is some of the rarest forms of advertising we see. Mostly because agriculture was more rural than city, so they did not have to make as many signs as say Coca Cola had to. Can you imagine seeing this Larro Feeds thermometer in downtown Manhattan? Don’t think so! This thermometer would have been right at home outside the local general store in rural America in the early 1950’s. The square aluminum case makes it different than the typical round thermometers you see from other advertisers and really catches your eyes. Beneath the glass cover, the aluminum face has some corrosion and paint chipping in the lower left corner. The face of the thermometer is very colorful with a small dent just below 45 degrees. The needle has some paint loss near the top, and is about 5 degrees off temperature wise. Some small dents on the outer corners of the aluminum case do not detract from its beauty. 18689-EPP
