This large, double-sided Coca-Cola sign once drew customers into stores by signaling they sold Coca-Cola. Hung outside restaurants like the Blue Anchor Cafe, as indicated on the privilege panel, the sign displays the red “Drink Coca-Cola In Bottles” message and a blank white panel for the business name. It measures 36 by 68 inches and hangs from the top hooks. These metal sled signs were popular during the late 1940s and 1950s, and the large ones, such as this one, were made to withstand outdoor use. Side A shows minor chips and wear on both the red and white panels, along with surface rust. Side B shows more wear and excellent patina on the signs.
