With dual-facing scale measurements and glass lenses, customers could see exactly what the store clerk was doing when they purchased items at the country store. “The Computing Scale Company” is embossed on the brass plate, along with “Dayton, Ohio” and a faint stamping “166” for the model number. This scale has been restored in red and black with gold trim to match the brass accents and polished scoop. It measures 14.5 inches tall, 13.25 inches long, and 4 inches deep. Minor paint chips are evident on this scale, and it is in working order. The glass on the reverse side does not fill up the space. I am not sure if this is original or if the glass has been replaced.
