Pass-A-Lite Store Display Electric Cigar Lighter Automotive

If you love rare store displays, we have a treasure for you! Many of us recall that every car on the road had a cigarette lighter and at least one ashtray, but in the 1920s, automobiles did not have a way to light a cigar or cigarette. Push-type lighters became common in the 1930s and were standard equipment by the 1950s. This display model from Stewart-Warner serves as a sales tool for Pass-A-Lite, an early in-car cigar lighter system. The model is made of composite material with raised letters and features an artwork of a gentleman driving a car above the display. A few chips are on the display, but they do not detract from the appearance of this historical piece. This piece measures 8.5 inches tall, 10 inches wide, and 5.5 inches deep, with red and black painted raised letters with a felt bottom. The cloth-covered wire appears original, as does the bakelight knob on the display. This display is an awesome addition to any tobacco or automotive collection, providing a unique glimpse into automobile accessories from a bygone era. 21482-IIP
