Pepsi-Cola’s logo integrated a colon in the 1940s logo, and then changed it to a hyphen when Pepsi made its television debut. All sides of this double lid cooler feature this double dot logo, with embossed logos and slogans. The ends of the cooler feature the Pepsi-Cola bottle cap logo, accompanied by the phrase “Hits the spot,” with the bottle cap logo also positioned at the top of the middle hinged lid. The front and back feature the Pepsi-Cola logo, accompanied by “Ice Cold” in the upper corners. This type of cooler was filled with ice daily to keep Pepsi’s beverages ice cold for customers. It was usually placed outside, as it did not require electricity to maintain the cold temperature. This cooler is in unrestored condition and is ready for use as is, or you could have it restored to keep inside your home or office. Holes have been drilled in the lid and on the side, which we can assume had a padlock to deter thieves. Measurements are approximately 36 inches tall, 27 inches wide, and 42 inches long. The open bottom was used to house wooden crates that held empty bottles, ready to be recycled. Due to the size and weight, this item will require pickup from our location in Tasley, Virginia. 21330-WPP
