Seldom seen, this rare wooden Pontiac Indian Head sign was once right at home in a Pontiac dealership. The illuminated sign features Pontiac’s logo and a Native American profile with a full feather. The red-painted wood is attached to the white-painted wood to give it a nice 3D look, with the light bulbs mounted behind it to provide a nice glow. This logo was used by Pontiac from 1930 to 1959, and we date this piece from the 1940s. The white paint has some chips in the finish and is slightly dull from age. The red paint also shows minor age-related soiling. It measures 18 inches tall, 26.5 inches wide, and 4.5 inches deep. The reverse side is also white, with minor age-related wear, and has a small hanger. 21607-YTP
