This nice, rare Smith Coal just arrived, and it is ready for your wall! It measures 17.75 inches top to bottom and side to side, with embossed “Smith Coal” letters. Unlike most embossed signs, these letters are raised circles, creating a unique look. The colors and gloss are sharp on this round sign, with minimal wear along the outer edge. Based upon the condition, we doubt this was ever used; if so, it was used very lightly, as it is in such great condition. Coal was the standard for home heating in the 1920s and 1930s, with home use shrinking in the late 1940s. Because of this, we date this sign to the 1930s. 21569-UWP
