The lithograph depicts a driver taking his shoes to a service station for new laces, below a sign that reads “Shoe Lace Service Station,” with the Woodlawn Mills logo on each side. The three-sided graphic also features visible gas pumps on the sides, with shoe-lace details on each pump and “Buy Another Pair And Carry A Spare” along the top. The front features a die-cut Woodlawn Mills sign that folds flat for shipping. The reverse side of this die-cut is marked “Advertising Metal Display Co., Inc., Chicago, Ill.” With the die-cut top standing up, the display measures 13.75 inches tall. A small dent is on the left side of this sign, and there is slight wear under it from rubbing. The reverse side of this display features seven metal shelves for storing multiple boxes of shoelaces, ready for sale. The tin display is attached to a wooden base measuring 11.5 inches square. Minor wear to the display’s front finish, with some wear on the right side finish as well. The flat top, or roof, of the service station has some small wear marks and a few scratches from use. A few light scratches are evident upon close inspection in various places. The colors pop nicely on this seldom-seen display, making it a beautiful addition to your collection. 21528-QORT
